Saud Al-Shuraim

Saud Al-Shuraim, born on January nineteenth, nineteen sixty-six, is a distinguished judge and imam known for his significant contributions to Islamic jurisprudence. He has dedicated his career to serving the community at the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, where he has been a prominent figure since nineteen ninety-one.

Dr. Al-Shuraim earned his PhD in Islamic jurisprudence from Umm al-Qura University, showcasing his commitment to academic excellence. Recently, he has taken on the role of dean and specialist professor in Fiqh at the University Bakri bin Ma'tooq, further solidifying his influence in the field of Islamic studies.

Throughout his tenure at the Masjid al-Haram, he has led the Tarawih prayers during the holy month of Ramadan, a role that has endeared him to many worshippers. Notably, on June seventeenth, two thousand twelve, he led the funeral prayer for Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, an event that was attended by King Abdullah and members of the Saudi royal family, highlighting his esteemed position within the community.
