Scott Abbott

Charles Scott Abbott, born in Montreal, Quebec, in nineteen sixty-two, is a notable figure in the world of sports and entertainment. He first made his mark as a sports journalist for the Canadian Press, where his passion for sports began to flourish. Abbott's career took a significant turn when he co-invented the iconic board game Trivial Pursuit alongside Chris Haney, a creation that would become a staple in family game nights around the globe.

In addition to his success in the board game industry, Abbott is also a prominent owner of the North Bay Battalion hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League. His dedication to building this hockey club earned him a well-deserved induction into the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame in two thousand five, highlighting his contributions to the sports community.

Following his achievements in board games, Abbott developed a keen interest in horse racing. He named one of his prized horses, Charlie Barley, in honor of his son Charlie, who was of a similar age to the horse. Abbott's passion for racing led him to establish C. Scott Abbott Racing Stable Ltd., where his horse Smart Sky notably finished seventh in the prestigious two thousand ten Queen's Plate.
