Scott D. Tingle

Scott D. Tingle, born on July nineteenth, nineteen sixty-five, is a distinguished NASA astronaut and military officer. Selected in June two thousand nine as a member of NASA Astronaut Group 20, he completed his astronaut training in two thousand eleven, marking the beginning of an illustrious career in space exploration.

As a flight engineer for Expeditions fifty-four and fifty-five, Tingle launched into space aboard Soyuz MS-07 in December two thousand seventeen. His mission lasted until June two thousand eighteen, during which he contributed significantly to scientific research and international cooperation in space.

In addition to his achievements as an astronaut, Tingle is a highly decorated naval pilot. He has flown fifty-one types of aircraft, accumulating over four thousand five hundred flight hours. His impressive record includes landing seven hundred fifty aircraft with carrier arrestments and participating in fifty-four combat missions, showcasing his exceptional skills and dedication to service.
