Scott Dixon, born on July 22, 1980, is a distinguished New Zealand racing driver, currently competing in the IndyCar Series with the No. 9 Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) Dallara DW12-Honda car. His illustrious career is marked by six IndyCar Series championships, clinched in the years two thousand three, two thousand eight, two thousand thirteen, two thousand fifteen, two thousand eighteen, and two thousand twenty. Notably, he triumphed in the prestigious Indianapolis 500 in two thousand eight, further solidifying his status in the racing world.

Dixon's journey in motorsport began at the tender age of seven when he started karting, amassing thirty major karting titles across Australia and New Zealand. By thirteen, he transitioned to car racing, achieving significant victories including the 1994 New Zealand Formula Vee Championship and the 1998 Australian Drivers' Championship. His debut in the Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) came in two thousand one, and he quickly made a name for himself by winning his first major open-wheel race shortly thereafter.

After joining CGR in two thousand two, Dixon made an immediate impact in the IndyCar Series, winning the championship in his debut season.
