Scott Raynor

Scott William Raynor Jr., born on May 23, 1978, in Poway, California, is an American musician renowned for his role as the original drummer of the iconic band Blink-182. His journey into music began in his preteen years, and by the age of fourteen, he had joined Blink-182, marking the start of a significant chapter in his life.

During his six years with the band, Raynor contributed to the creation of several pivotal works, including their first demo, Buddha, released in 1994, and their debut album, Cheshire Cat, in 1995. He also played a crucial role in the production of the gold-certified album Dude Ranch, which came out in 1997. However, in 1998, Raynor's tenure with Blink-182 came to an end when he was dismissed and subsequently replaced by Travis Barker.

After leaving the band, Raynor explored various musical avenues, performing with groups such as the post-punk band the Wraith. He also dedicated time to charitable efforts, notably contributing to StandUp for Kids, an organization aimed at helping homeless youth.

As of 2023, Scott Raynor has transitioned from music to public service, currently working as a police officer for the city of San Diego. His diverse career reflects a commitment to both artistic expression and community service.
