Seasick Steve

Steven Gene Wold, known to the world as Seasick Steve, is an American blues musician whose journey through music is as colorful as his life experiences. Born on March nineteenth, nineteen fifty-one, he has spent decades honing his craft, primarily as a guitarist and banjoist. His music often reflects the struggles and stories of his early life, where he engaged in various casual jobs.

Seasick Steve's musical career began in the late nineteen sixties, during which he worked as a musician and recording engineer across the United States and Europe. He played bass in the band Shanti and was also a member of the disco group Crystal Grass, among other musical endeavors. His versatility in the industry is further highlighted by his role as a producer for the band Modest Mouse.

His breakthrough came in the United Kingdom at the end of two thousand six when he made a memorable appearance on Jools Holland's annual Hootenanny. This performance marked the beginning of a new chapter in his career, leading to the release of several commercially successful albums, including 'I Started Out with Nothin and I Still Got Most of It Left,' 'Man from Another Time,' and 'Sonic Soul Surfer.'
