Sébastien Ogier

Sébastien Ogier, born on December seventeenth, nineteen eighty-three, is a distinguished French rally driver currently competing for the Toyota Gazoo Racing Team in the World Rally Championship (WRC). Teamed with co-driver Vincent Landais, Ogier has made a remarkable mark in the world of rallying, securing nine World Rally Drivers' Championships, a record he shares with the legendary Sébastien Loeb. His impressive tally includes six consecutive titles from two thousand thirteen to two thousand eighteen, along with victories in two thousand twenty, two thousand twenty-one, and two thousand twenty-five.

Ogier's journey in rallying began in France in two thousand five, where he quickly showcased his talent by winning the Peugeot 206 Cup in two thousand six. He made his debut in the Junior World Rally Championship in two thousand eight, driving a Citroën C2, and clinched the title in his first season. His entry into the WRC came at the two thousand eight Rally Mexico, where he scored points in his inaugural race. The following year, he achieved his first podium finish at the Acropolis Rally, securing second place.

In two thousand ten, Ogier took his maiden WRC victory at the Rally de Portugal while driving for the Citroën World Rally Team. He secured a full-time position with Citroën for the two thousand eleven season and later joined Volkswagen, where he drove the Volkswagen Polo R WRC. This marked a turning point in his career, as he won his first WRC Drivers' title in two thousand thirteen, achieving nine victories out of thirteen events. He continued his dominance with three consecutive titles from two thousand fourteen to two thousand sixteen and added two more titles while driving the Ford Fiesta WRC.

After a brief return to Citroën, Ogier transitioned to Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT before the two thousand twenty season, where he continued to excel, winning titles in two thousand twenty and two thousand twenty-one with the Toyota Yaris WRC. Since the two thousand twenty-two season, he has participated in select rallies, further solidifying his legacy in the sport. Beyond rallying, Ogier has also competed in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge and the Porsche Supercup, and he tested a Red Bull Racing Formula One car in two thousand seventeen.
