Seimone Augustus

Seimone Augustus, born on April thirtieth, nineteen eighty-four, is a distinguished American basketball coach and former professional player. Currently, she serves as an assistant coach for the Louisiana State University women's basketball team, where she imparts her extensive knowledge and experience to the next generation of athletes.

Augustus was selected first overall by the Minnesota Lynx in the two thousand six WNBA draft, marking the beginning of a remarkable career in the Women's National Basketball Association. For the majority of her career, she played with the Lynx, leading the team to four WNBA championships and earning the title of finals MVP in two thousand eleven. Her final season was spent with the Los Angeles Sparks, where she continued to showcase her exceptional skills on the court.

Throughout her illustrious career, Augustus was recognized as an eight-time All-Star and contributed significantly to the U.S. national team, winning three gold medals in the Olympics. Beyond her achievements in the WNBA, she also played overseas for various teams, concluding her playing career with Dynamo Kursk in Russia.
