As the chairman of the board and chief technology officer of Baykar, a leading Turkish technology company, Bayraktar has been instrumental in the development of innovative defense technologies. He is widely recognized as the designer of Turkey's first indigenous unmanned combat aerial vehicle, the Bayraktar TB2, as well as the country's first unmanned fighter jet, the Bayraktar Kızılelma.
