Semyon Frank

Semyon Frank, born on January sixteenth, eighteen seventy-seven, was a prominent Russian philosopher, university teacher, and psychologist. He emerged from a Jewish family and underwent a significant transformation in his spiritual life, converting to Orthodox Christianity in nineteen twelve. This pivotal change marked the beginning of a profound intellectual journey that would influence his philosophical outlook.

In nineteen twenty-two, Frank faced the harsh realities of political upheaval when he was expelled from Soviet Russia. This exile led him to Berlin, where he continued to develop his ideas and engage with the intellectual community. His tenure in Berlin was marked by a commitment to exploring the intersections of philosophy and psychology, contributing to the broader discourse of the time.

However, in nineteen thirty-three, Frank's position as head of the Russian Scientific Institute was abruptly terminated, reflecting the turbulent political climate of the era. Despite these challenges, he persevered and, in nineteen forty-five, relocated to Britain, where he continued to share his insights and engage with new audiences.
