Seo Hyang-soon, born on July eighth, nineteen sixty-seven, is a distinguished South Korean archer who made history as an Olympic champion. At just seventeen years old, she showcased her exceptional talent at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, where she clinched the individual gold medal. This remarkable achievement not only marked her as Korea's first female gold medalist but also as the nation's fifth gold medalist overall.

In two thousand four, Seo relocated to the United States, where she has since dedicated herself to nurturing the next generation of archers. She established her own archery school, HSS Sports Academy, located in Irvine, California, where she teaches Olympic Recurve archery, sharing her expertise and passion for the sport.

Seo is married to Park Kyung-ho, a celebrated judo champion who won a gold medal at the nineteen eighty-six Asian Games. Together, they have three children, including their eldest daughter, Park Seong-min, who has pursued a successful career as a professional golfer.
