His wrestling journey began at the Armed Forces sports society in Kaliningrad during nineteen seventy-six to nineteen seventy-seven, and he later honed his skills at Dynamo in Kiev starting in nineteen seventy-nine.

Beloglazov's legacy is further enriched by his twin brother, Anatoly Beloglazov, who also achieved Olympic glory in nineteen eighty and is a three-time World Champion. Under the guidance of coach Granit Taropin, Sergei established himself as one of the greatest freestyle wrestlers in history, earning respect and admiration from fans and peers alike.

Tragedy struck when Sergei's son, Sergei S. Beloglazov, passed away in a car accident at the young age of twenty-six in Sonoma, California. Despite this personal loss, Sergei continued to contribute to the sport he loves. As of April two thousand nine, he took on the role of National Head Coach for the Wrestling Federation of Singapore, sharing his expertise and passion for wrestling with a new generation.

In a significant career move, on August thirty-first, two thousand eighteen, Beloglazov was appointed head coach of the Cliff Keen Wrestling Club in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
