Sergey Sirotkin

Sergey Sirotkin, born on August twenty-seventh, nineteen ninety-five, in Moscow, is a talented Russian racing driver known for his remarkable journey through the world of motorsport. He began his racing career at the tender age of twelve, starting with karting before making his way to Formula Abarth in two thousand ten. His early success included winning the European Championship and finishing as the runner-up in the Italian Championship the following year.

After competing in Italian Formula 3 and Formula Renault 3.5, Sirotkin advanced to the GP2 Series in two thousand fifteen with the Rapax team. Over two full seasons, he showcased his skills by finishing third in the GP2 standings twice and securing several victories, which solidified his reputation as a promising driver.

In two thousand seventeen, Sirotkin's career took a significant turn when he was promoted to reserve driver at Renault after serving as a test driver for Sauber. His impressive performance during the Yas Marina post-season test led to his signing with Williams for the two thousand eighteen Formula One season, where he replaced Felipe Massa and partnered with Lance Stroll. Sirotkin made his Formula One debut at the Australian Grand Prix and achieved his first points finish in Italy.

Despite his potential, Sirotkin faced challenges as Williams decided to part ways with him at the end of the season due to performance concerns linked to the FW41, following the withdrawal of SMP's sponsorship. He returned to the role of reserve driver for Renault and McLaren in two thousand nineteen, continuing with Renault in two thousand twenty before moving on.

Since his departure from Formula One, Sirotkin has transitioned into sportscar racing, competing in prestigious events such as the FIA World Endurance Championship, GT World Challenge Europe, Intercontinental GT Challenge, and the Middle East Trophy for SMP Racing, where he continues to demonstrate his passion and skill in motorsport.
