Sergio Asenjo, born on June 28, 1989, is a former professional footballer from Spain, renowned for his role as a goalkeeper. He began his football journey with Real Valladolid in 2007, where he made an impressive forty-seven senior appearances during his initial spell with the club.
In the summer of 2009, Asenjo transferred to Atlético Madrid, embarking on a five-season tenure with the team.
