Seth Moulton

Seth Moulton, born on October twenty-four, nineteen seventy-eight, is a distinguished American politician and Marine Corps combat veteran. Since two thousand fifteen, he has served as the U.S. representative for Massachusetts's sixth congressional district, which encompasses many of Boston's northern suburbs, including Andover, Marblehead, Peabody, and his hometown of Salem.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Harvard College in two thousand one, Moulton joined the United States Marine Corps, where he completed four tours in Iraq. His commitment to public service continued as he pursued dual master's degrees in business and public administration at Harvard, further equipping him for a career in politics.

In two thousand fourteen, Moulton entered the political arena, winning election to represent his district. He gained national attention in November two thousand eighteen when he led an initiative to challenge Nancy Pelosi's leadership within the House Democratic caucus. Despite his efforts, Pelosi secured the nomination for speaker of the house with a decisive vote.

In April two thousand nineteen, Moulton announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for U.S. president in the upcoming two thousand twenty election. He actively campaigned across key states such as Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina, but ultimately withdrew from the race on August twenty-three, two thousand nineteen, after failing to gain sufficient support.
