Shad Gaspard

Shad Gaspard, born on January thirteenth, nineteen eighty-one, was a multifaceted American talent known for his work as a professional wrestler, actor, and stunt performer. He gained prominence during his tenure with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where he showcased his skills under his real name and also as the mononymous Shad.

In two thousand three, Gaspard signed with WWE and was assigned to their developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). There, he achieved notable success, becoming a two-time OVW Southern Tag Team Champion alongside his partner JTG as part of the duo Cryme Tyme. The team made its way to WWE's main roster in two thousand six, but both Gaspard and JTG faced release from the company the following year. Cryme Tyme made a comeback in two thousand eight, yet Gaspard was released once more in two thousand ten.

After his wrestling career, Gaspard ventured into acting, landing roles in various films and television series, including Think Like a Man Too, Get Hard, The Game, and From Dusk till Dawn: The Series. He also co-created the graphic novel Assassin & Son in two thousand eleven and contributed motion capture for video games, most notably portraying the protagonist Kratos in the acclaimed two thousand eighteen game God of War.

Tragically, on May seventeenth, two thousand twenty, Gaspard lost his life while heroically attempting to save his son from a rip current. His bravery was recognized posthumously when he was awarded the Warrior Award at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in two thousand twenty-two, marking him as the final recipient of this honor, which was discontinued in two thousand twenty-three.
