In January twenty eleven, Pe'er reached her pinnacle in singles rankings, achieving the remarkable feat of being ranked world number eleven, the highest ever for an Israeli player. Her doubles career also flourished, peaking at number fourteen in May two thousand eight. Notably, she reached the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam tournament twice in singles and made a significant mark by reaching the doubles final of the two thousand eight Australian Open alongside Belarusian player Victoria Azarenka.
