Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, born on December twenty-seventh, nineteen fifty-eight, is a prominent Pakistani politician and businessman. He served as the Prime Minister of Pakistan from August two thousand seventeen to May two thousand eighteen. Currently, he leads Awaam Pakistan (AP) as its chairman, showcasing his continued influence in the political landscape.
Abbasi's political journey began in nineteen eighty-eight after the passing of his father. Since then, he has been elected as a Member of the National Assembly six times, representing Constituency NA-50 in Rawalpindi. His political career has seen him hold significant positions, including the senior vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and secretary-general of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an anti-PTI coalition.
