Davis made history at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, where he clinched a gold medal in the 1000 meter event and a silver in the 1500 meter event, showcasing his exceptional talent on the ice.

Continuing his Olympic success, Davis repeated his remarkable performance at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, becoming the first man to defend his title in the 1000 meters while also securing another silver in the 1500 meters. His achievements at these prestigious events solidified his status as one of the top speed skaters in the world.

In addition to his Olympic accolades, Davis has an impressive record in world championships. He won the silver medal at the 2004 World Allround Speed Skating Championships and went on to claim the title in both 2005 and 2006. His victory at the 2009 World Sprint Championships in Moscow marked him as the second male skater to win both the Sprint and Allround championships in his career, following in the footsteps of Eric Heiden.
