Sharon Pollock

Sharon Pollock, born on April nineteenth, nineteen thirty-six, is a distinguished Canadian playwright, actor, and director. Her contributions to the arts have significantly shaped the landscape of Canadian theatre, making her one of the country's most notable playwrights.

Throughout her illustrious career, Pollock held the position of Artistic Director at several prominent theatre companies, including Theatre Calgary in nineteen eighty-four and Theatre New Brunswick from nineteen eighty-eight to nineteen ninety. In nineteen ninety-two, she founded Performance Kitchen & The Garry Theatre, further showcasing her commitment to the theatrical arts.
