Shawn Farquhar, born on June seventh, nineteen sixty-two, is a distinguished Canadian magician and illusionist renowned for his exceptional skills and numerous accolades in the world of magic. He holds the prestigious title of 'Grand Prix World Champion of Magic' awarded by the International Federation of Magic Societies, a testament to his extraordinary talent and dedication to the craft.

Farquhar's remarkable achievements include being the only magician in history to secure First Place at the International Brotherhood of Magicians for both Stage and Sleight of Hand. He has been honored twice as the Canadian Association of Magicians' Magician of the Year and has triumphed at the Society of American Magicians annual magic convention competition. His accolades also feature three Silver awards and a First Place in Card Magic at the FISM World Championship, often referred to as the 'Olympics of Magic'.

In August two thousand nine, he achieved his most significant recognition at the FISM World Championship of Magic held in Beijing. On May first, two thousand ten, he was once again named Canadian Magician of the Year, making him the only individual to receive this prestigious award twice. Residing in British Columbia, Farquhar travels extensively, performing and lecturing for fellow magicians while also consulting for television shows and films.

His performances have graced stages worldwide, including renowned venues such as the Riviera in Las Vegas, the Opera House, Blackpool, and the Orpheum in Vancouver.
