Sheela

Sheela, born on March 22, 1942, is a celebrated figure in the Indian film industry, known for her remarkable versatility as an actor, film director, and television actor. Her illustrious career spans several decades, during which she has captivated audiences with her performances in numerous films.

Throughout her career, Sheela shared the screen with the legendary Prem Nazir, appearing together as both heroine and hero in various films. Notably, she also portrayed his mother in one of the films, showcasing her range as an actress. Her contributions to Malayalam cinema have earned her significant recognition, including four Kerala State Film Awards.

After a hiatus of twenty-two years, Sheela made a triumphant return to acting in 2003 with the film Manassinakkare. Her performance in the 2005 Malayalam film Akale earned her the prestigious National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress, further solidifying her status in the industry.

In 2019, Sheela was honored with the J C Daniel Award, the highest accolade from the Kerala government for her outstanding contributions to Malayalam cinema.
