Sheikh Mansur

Sheikh Mansur, born in June seventeen sixty-two, was a prominent Chechen military commander and Islamic leader. He is best known for spearheading a formidable resistance movement against the encroachment of Russian forces into the Caucasus region. His leadership spanned from seventeen eighty-five until his eventual capture in seventeen ninety-one.
