Shelton Benjamin

Shelton Benjamin, born on July ninth, nineteen seventy-five, is a prominent American professional wrestler renowned for his dynamic career in the wrestling industry. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as a member of The Hurt Syndicate, where he has achieved notable success, including a reign as the AEW World Tag Team Champion alongside his stablemate Bobby Lashley.

Before stepping into the world of professional wrestling, Benjamin excelled as a two-sport athlete in college, securing an NJCAA championship in both track and field and collegiate wrestling. He later completed his degree at the University of Minnesota, which laid the foundation for his future endeavors in sports entertainment.

Benjamin's wrestling journey began in WWE's developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he captured the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship four times. His main roster debut in two thousand two saw him form Team Angle with Kurt Angle and Charlie Haas, later evolving into The World's Greatest Tag Team. During his first WWE tenure, he won the WWE Intercontinental Championship three times, with a record-setting reign of two hundred forty-four days, along with the WWE United States Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championship twice.

After a brief hiatus from WWE, Benjamin made a significant impact in Ring of Honor (ROH) and internationally in Japan with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Pro Wrestling Noah. He returned to WWE in August two thousand seventeen, joining The Hurt Business and securing multiple championships, including the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship and the WWE 24/7 Championship. Following his release in September two thousand twenty-three, he returned to the independent circuit before making his AEW debut in October two thousand twenty-three, reuniting with MVP and Lashley.
