Shenay Perry

Shenay Perry, born on July 6, 1984, is a retired tennis player from the United States who has made significant contributions to the sport both as a player and a coach. With a career-high singles ranking of No. 40 achieved on August 28, 2006, Perry showcased her talent on the court, winning nine singles and seven doubles ITF titles throughout her career.

One of the highlights of Perry's career came on June 9, 2004, when she, as a U.S. qualifier ranked No. 88, pulled off a stunning upset against the fifth-ranked Jelena Dokic at the DFS grass-court tournament, winning in straight sets, 6–4, 7–6 (4). This victory marked a significant moment in her career and demonstrated her competitive spirit.

Perry's journey in professional tennis also included a notable appearance at the 2006 Wimbledon Championships, where she was dubbed the 'last American left standing' in either singles draw. Her resilience and determination on the court earned her respect and admiration from fans and fellow players alike.
