Shinya Tsukamoto

Shinya Tsukamoto, born in 1960, is a renowned Japanese filmmaker and actor celebrated for his unique contributions to the body horror and cyberpunk genres. He gained international acclaim with his groundbreaking film, Tetsuo: The Iron Man, released in nineteen eighty-nine, which is often regarded as the defining work of the Japanese Cyberpunk movement. This film was followed by two sequels, Tetsuo II: Body Hammer in nineteen ninety-two and Tetsuo: The Bullet Man in two thousand nine, further solidifying his status in the cinematic world.
