Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury

Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, born on October sixth, nineteen sixty-six, is a prominent Bangladeshi politician who has made significant strides in her country's political landscape. She made history in April two thousand thirteen when she became the first female speaker of the Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad, a position she held until September two thousand twenty-four. At the age of forty-six, she not only broke gender barriers but also became the youngest individual to assume this esteemed office.

Her leadership extended beyond national borders as she served as the chairperson of the executive committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association from two thousand fourteen to two thousand seventeen.
