Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Shoko Asahara

Shoko Asahara, born Chizuo Matsumoto on March 2, 1955, was a notorious figure in Japan, known for his role as a cult leader and terrorist. He founded Aum Shinrikyo, a doomsday cult that gained infamy for its violent actions and extreme beliefs. Asahara's life took a dark turn as he orchestrated the 1995 sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway, a heinous act that resulted in the deaths of fourteen individuals and left thousands injured.

His criminal activities extended beyond this tragic event, as he was implicated in various assassinations and terrorist attacks. The severity of his actions led to his conviction in two thousand four, where he was sentenced to death. Despite his attempts to appeal the verdict, his final appeal was rejected in two thousand eleven.

In June two thousand twelve, Asahara's execution was postponed due to ongoing investigations and further arrests of Aum Shinrikyo members. However, justice was ultimately served when he was executed alongside other senior members of the cult on July 6, 2018, marking the end of a dark chapter in Japan's history.
