Shoya Tomizawa, born on December 10, 1990, was a talented Japanese motorcycle racer who made a significant impact in the world of motorsport. He began his racing career in the All Japan Road Race Championship, where he showcased his skills and determination, quickly rising through the ranks.

In 2009, Tomizawa transitioned to the international stage by competing in the MotoGP series, specifically in the 250cc class. His journey continued in 2010 when he became one of the first riders to participate in the newly established Moto2 class. Tomizawa's talent shone brightly as he clinched victory in the inaugural race of the Moto2 class at Losail, Qatar, finishing nearly five seconds ahead of competitors Alex Debón and Jules Cluzel.

Tragically, Shoya Tomizawa's promising career was cut short when he suffered fatal injuries during the San Marino Grand Prix on September 5, 2010.
