Shreyas Iyer, born on December 6, 1994, is a prominent Indian international cricketer who has made significant strides in the world of cricket. A right-handed batter, he showcases his skills primarily as a top-order or middle-order player across all formats of the game. Iyer not only represents the India national team but also plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket and currently captains the Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Making his international debut in 2017, Iyer quickly established himself as a key player in India's limited-overs teams. His Test debut against New Zealand in November 2021 was historic, as he became the first Indian to score a century in his first innings and a half-century in his second. Earlier in his career, he showcased his talent by representing the India Under-19s at the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
