Si-An Deng

Si-An Deng, born on June 25, 1963, in Shanghai, People's Republic of China, is a distinguished retired badminton player who represented Canada on the international stage. Her journey in badminton is marked by significant achievements, showcasing her talent and dedication to the sport.

In 1995, Deng made her mark at the inaugural women's singles competition of the Pan American Games, where she secured a silver medal. Additionally, she excelled in women's doubles at the same tournament, clinching a gold medal and further establishing her prowess in badminton.

As a resident of Vancouver, British Columbia, Deng's commitment to the sport culminated in her participation in the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, Georgia. Her Olympic journey not only highlighted her skills but also her role as a pioneer for badminton in Canada.
