Siaosi Sovaleni

Siaosi ‘Ofakivahafolau Sovaleni, born on 28 February 1970, is a prominent Tongan politician known for his significant contributions to the nation's governance. He held the esteemed position of Prime Minister of Tonga from 2021 until his resignation in 2024, marking a pivotal period in the country's political landscape.

Before ascending to the role of Prime Minister, Sovaleni demonstrated his leadership capabilities as a cabinet minister. His political journey included serving as the Deputy Prime Minister from 2014 to 2017, where he played a crucial role in shaping policies and initiatives that impacted the Tongan populace.

In addition to his political endeavors, Sovaleni is recognized as the current estate holder of the village of Ha'asini, reflecting his deep-rooted connection to his community and commitment to local governance.
