Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Silvia Araya

Silvia Araya, born on May sixth, nineteen thirty, is a distinguished Chilean-born Canadian intellectual, artist, educator, and politician. Her artistic journey began with her founding of the Chilean-Indian Institute of Culture, where she played a pivotal role in promoting cultural heritage. Araya's contributions to the arts continued as she joined the 'Grupo Ancoa' and co-founded the Museum of Art and Artisans of Linares, which proudly features her sculptures and paintings in its permanent collection.

In the politically charged atmosphere of the 1970s, Araya transitioned into politics, earning a seat in the Chamber of Deputies in nineteen seventy-three, representing the Province of Coquimbo. However, her political career was abruptly interrupted following the coup d'état, leading to her imprisonment in the notorious Valparaíso prison. In nineteen seventy-seven, she was exiled to Canada, where she would continue her impactful journey.

Settling in Quebec City, Araya established the Académie des beaux-arts Silvia Araya, dedicating twenty-five years to educating aspiring artists. Her commitment to cultural enrichment did not go unnoticed; in two thousand eight, she was honored as a knight of the National Order of Quebec, recognizing her significant contributions to the province's cultural landscape.
