Born on September 28, 1987, Sílvio Manuel de Azevedo Ferreira Sá Pereira, known simply as Sílvio, is a distinguished former professional footballer from Portugal. Renowned for his versatility on the field, he excelled as both a right and left-back, showcasing his defensive prowess throughout his career.

During his time in the Primeira Liga, Sílvio made a significant impact with 129 appearances across several clubs, including Rio Ave, Braga, Benfica, Vitória de Setúbal, and Vitória de Guimarães. His tenure at these clubs was marked by a collection of honors, although he played less frequently for Benfica.

Sílvio's career also took him abroad, where he competed in La Liga with Atlético Madrid and Deportivo, and he spent a season in England with Wolverhampton Wanderers. His international career saw him earn eight caps for the Portuguese national team over three years, making his debut in 2010.
