Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Sitiveni Rabuka

Sitiveni Rabuka, born on September thirteenth, nineteen forty-eight, is a prominent Fijian politician and former rugby union player. He has made significant contributions to Fiji's political landscape, currently serving as the Prime Minister since December twenty-fourth, twenty twenty-two. His political journey is marked by his role as the instigator of two military coups in nineteen eighty-seven, which set the stage for his later political career.

Rabuka's first term as Prime Minister began in nineteen ninety-two and lasted until nineteen ninety-nine, during which he led a three-party coalition. Following his tenure, he held the position of Chairman of the Great Council of Chiefs from nineteen ninety-nine to two thousand one, and later served as Chairman of the Cakaudrove Provincial Council from two thousand one to two thousand eight.

In two thousand sixteen, Rabuka was elected as the leader of the Social Democratic Liberal Party, succeeding Ro Teimumu Kepa, who had reservations about his nomination. After the two thousand eighteen election, he became the leader of the opposition in Parliament, a position he secured with unanimous support. However, he faced challenges within the party, eventually being ousted by Viliame Gavoka.

In two thousand twenty, Rabuka resigned from Parliament, expressing his desire to facilitate a bipartisan approach for unity and progress in Fiji. He then founded a new political party, the Peoples Alliance, to contest the two thousand twenty-two elections, marking a new chapter in his political career.
