Sjef van Run

Sjef van Run, born on January twelfth, nineteen oh four, was a distinguished Dutch footballer renowned for his defensive prowess on the field. His career spanned from the late 1920s to the early 1940s, during which he made a significant impact in both national and club football.

Van Run represented the Netherlands in the 1934 FIFA World Cup, showcasing his skills on an international stage. Prior to this, he was part of the national squad at the 1928 Summer Olympics, although he did not see any match action during the tournament.

At the club level, he was a stalwart for PSV Eindhoven, where he made an impressive three hundred fifty-nine league appearances from nineteen twenty-six to nineteen forty-two. His dedication and consistency contributed to the team's success during a pivotal era in Dutch football.
