Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Sloane Stephens

Sloane Stephens, born on March 20, 1993, in Fresno, California, is an accomplished American professional tennis player. With a remarkable career, she has achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 3, as recognized by the Women's Tennis Association. Her impressive accolades include eight WTA Tour-level singles titles, highlighted by her stunning victory at the 2017 US Open, where she made a triumphant return to the sport after a significant injury.

Stephens' journey in tennis began at a young age, influenced by her athletic parents. She honed her skills at a tennis academy in Florida under the guidance of Nick Saviano. As a junior player, she reached a ranking of world No. 5 and showcased her talent by winning three out of four major girls' doubles titles in 2010 alongside her partner Tímea Babos.

At just nineteen, Stephens captured the spotlight during the 2013 Australian Open, where she made an impressive semifinal run, defeating world No. 3 Serena Williams. Although she faced challenges in the following years, including a drop outside the top 25 by the end of 2015, a coaching change to Kamau Murray revitalized her career. Under his mentorship, she clinched three WTA titles in the first half of 2016 before a foot injury sidelined her for several months.

Making a remarkable comeback in mid-2017, Stephens quickly regained her form, winning the US Open in her fifth tournament back and earning the WTA Comeback Player of the Year award. The following year, she continued to excel, securing her first Premier Mandatory title at the Miami Open, reaching her second major final at the French Open, and finishing as the runner-up at the WTA Finals, all while breaking into the top ten for the first time in her career.
