Sonia Sarfati

Sonia Sarfati, born on May twenty-ninth, nineteen sixty in Toulouse, France, is a multifaceted Canadian author and journalist. With roots tracing back to a Tunisian father and an Italian mother, she moved to Montreal at the tender age of ten, where her journey into the world of literature and journalism began.

Her academic pursuits led her to the Université de Montréal, where she studied both biology and journalism. This unique combination of disciplines allowed her to teach biology at the secondary level, enriching the minds of young students while nurturing her passion for writing.

In addition to her literary endeavors, Sarfati is a prominent voice in the media, contributing to the culture section of La Presse. She also hosted the radio program VSD bonjour on Radio-Canada, where she engaged listeners with her insights and expertise.
