Sonja O'Hara

Sonja O'Hara, born on October first, nineteen eighty-seven, is a talented Canadian writer, director, and actress hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Currently residing in Los Angeles, California, she has made significant strides in the entertainment industry, earning an Emmy nomination for her work.

O'Hara is best known for her digital series Doomsday, which she not only created but also directed and starred in. This series garnered a nomination for the 2021 Daytime Emmy Awards in the category of Outstanding Daytime Fiction Program. Her innovative storytelling and direction have not gone unnoticed, as she was recognized as one of the “10 Filmmakers to Watch” by Independent Magazine, a prestigious accolade that highlights her potential in the film industry.

In addition to her work on Doomsday, which won Best Series at HBO's ITVFest, O'Hara has received accolades for her directorial skills, including the “Best Director” award at The New York Television Festival, selected from four thousand submissions.
