Sonny Bill Williams, born on August third, nineteen eighty-five, is a multifaceted athlete from New Zealand, renowned for his prowess in both boxing and rugby. He has made a significant mark in the world of sports, being a professional boxer and a former rugby league and rugby union player. Williams is notably the second individual to represent New Zealand in rugby union after initially playing for the national rugby league team, a testament to his exceptional versatility.

Williams began his athletic journey in rugby league, where he played as a second-row forward over eight seasons in the National Rugby League (NRL). His career included stints with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the Sydney Roosters, earning twelve caps for the New Zealand Kiwis. His accolades in rugby league include the RLIF Awards for Rookie of the Year in two thousand four and International Player of the Year in two thousand thirteen. In two thousand twenty, he played for the Toronto Wolfpack in the Super League before returning to the Sydney Roosters.

Transitioning to rugby union in two thousand ten, Williams primarily played as a centre for various teams, including Toulon in France, and several clubs in New Zealand such as Canterbury, Counties Manukau, the Crusaders, Chiefs, and Blues, as well as the Panasonic Wild Knights in Japan.
