Sonny Boy Williamson II

Sonny Boy Williamson II, born Alex or Aleck Miller on December 5, 1912, was a pivotal figure in the American blues scene. Known for his exceptional skills as a harmonica player, singer, and songwriter, he emerged as a significant influence in the genre during the 1950s and 1960s. His journey in music began under various aliases, including Rice Miller and Little Boy Blue, before he ultimately adopted the name Sonny Boy Williamson, a title that had already been associated with another prominent Chicago blues artist.

Williamson's musical career took off with his collaboration with Elmore James on the iconic track 'Dust My Broom.' His distinctive style and powerful performances led to the creation of several popular songs, including 'Don't Start Me Talkin',' 'Help Me,' 'Checkin' Up on My Baby,' and 'Bring It On Home.'
