Sophie, Princess of Albania

Sophie, Princess of Albania, born on May twenty-first, eighteen eighty-five, was a remarkable figure in the world of music and royalty. An accomplished opera singer and composer, she captivated audiences with her talent and artistry.

In nineteen hundred and six, Sophie married Prince Wilhelm, the second son of the Prince of Wied. Their union marked the beginning of her journey as a royal, and when Wilhelm ascended to the title of Prince of Albania, Sophie embraced her role as princess consort.

Her tenure as Princess of Albania was brief, lasting from March seventh to September third, nineteen fourteen. During this time, she was affectionately referred to as Mbretëreshë, or Queen, by the Albanian people, reflecting her esteemed position in the country.
