Spencer Cox

Spencer Cox, born on July eleventh, nineteen seventy-five, is a prominent American lawyer and politician who has been serving as the 18th governor of Utah since 2021. A dedicated member of the Republican Party, Cox's political journey began in his hometown of Fairview, Utah, where he was first elected to the city council in two thousand four and subsequently became the mayor in two thousand five.

His commitment to public service continued as he was elected as a Sanpete County commissioner in two thousand eight. In two thousand twelve, he took a significant step in his political career by winning a seat in the Utah House of Representatives. His leadership qualities were recognized when Governor Gary Herbert appointed him as lieutenant governor in October two thousand thirteen, a position he held until two thousand twenty.
