Stacey Cunningham is a prominent American banker who made history as the sixty-seventh president of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) from 2018 to 2022. Notably, she was the second woman to hold this prestigious position, and the first to assume full leadership of the exchange, marking a significant milestone in the financial industry.

Cunningham's journey began in the 1990s when she interned at the NYSE, eventually becoming a trading floor clerk. Her dedication and expertise allowed her to thrive at the exchange until two thousand five. After taking a brief hiatus to pursue culinary training, she transitioned to the Nasdaq stock exchange, where she served as director of capital markets and head of sales for U.S. transaction services.
