Stanislaus Kostka

Stanisław Kostka, born on 28 October 1550 in Rostkowo, Przasnysz County, Poland, was a remarkable figure in the Catholic Church, known for his deep spirituality and mysticism. As a novice in the Society of Jesus, he dedicated his short life to religious pursuits and the pursuit of holiness.

His life was marked by a profound sense of purpose and devotion, which culminated in his untimely death in Rome during the night of 14–15 August 1568. Remarkably, he is said to have foretold his own passing just days before it occurred, a testament to his mystical insights.

Stanislaus's legacy continued long after his death, as he was canonized in 1726, recognized for his virtuous life and commitment to the Jesuit mission. His story remains an inspiration for many within the Catholic faith.
