Stanislav Cherchesov

Stanislav Cherchesov, born on September second, nineteen sixty-three, is a distinguished Russian football manager and former goalkeeper. Currently, he serves as the manager of Akhmat Grozny in the Russian Premier League, showcasing his extensive experience in the sport.

In August two thousand sixteen, Cherchesov was appointed as the head coach of the Russia national team. Under his leadership, the team achieved remarkable success, reaching the quarter-finals of the two thousand eighteen FIFA World Cup, a significant milestone in Russian football history.

Following his tenure with the national team, which concluded after their elimination in the UEFA Euro two thousand twenty group stage, he took the reins at Hungarian club Ferencváros in two thousand twenty-one. There, he led the team to victory, securing two consecutive Nemzeti Bajnokság I titles before parting ways in July two thousand twenty-three.

In addition to his club commitments, Cherchesov also took on the role of head coach for the Kazakhstan national team from June two thousand twenty-four to January two thousand twenty-five, further expanding his coaching portfolio.
