Ștefan Rusu, born on February second, nineteen fifty-six, is a distinguished retired Greco-Roman wrestler hailing from Romania. His illustrious career is marked by remarkable achievements, including participation in three Olympic Games: the nineteen seventy-six, nineteen eighty, and nineteen eighty-four editions. Rusu's Olympic journey culminated in a silver medal in nineteen seventy-six, followed by a gold medal in nineteen eighty, and a bronze medal in nineteen eighty-four.

Beyond the Olympics, Rusu's prowess on the mat was further demonstrated through his victories at the World Championships, where he claimed titles in different weight divisions in nineteen seventy-eight and nineteen eighty-two. His dominance in European wrestling is equally impressive, as he secured European titles from nineteen seventy-eight to nineteen eighty-one and again in nineteen eighty-five.
