Steffen Iversen

Steffen Iversen, born on November tenth, nineteen seventy-six, is a distinguished former Norwegian footballer and current football coach. He is notably recognized for his role as a player-manager for Trygg/Lade, a club in the Norwegian fourth division, where he played as a striker. Iversen is the son of Odd Iversen, a celebrated former Norway international and one of the nation's most prolific goal scorers.

Iversen's professional journey began at the age of eighteen with Rosenborg, where he quickly made a name for himself by winning two consecutive Norwegian league championships. His career took a significant turn in December nineteen ninety-six when he signed with Tottenham Hotspur. Over the course of seven years with the club, he netted fifty-four goals and contributed to their League Cup victory.

After a brief stint at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Iversen returned to Norway, joining Vålerenga. His impact was immediate, helping the team secure their first league championship in twenty-one years. In two thousand six, he made a return to Rosenborg, where he celebrated another league title in two thousand ten. Following a thirteen-month period at Crystal Palace, Iversen rejoined Rosenborg for the third time in February two thousand twelve.

On the international stage, Iversen earned seventy-nine caps for the Norwegian national team, scoring twenty-one goals. He is particularly remembered for scoring Norway's only goal in a UEFA European Football Championship, a match-winning strike against Spain during the group stage of UEFA Euro two thousand.
