Stephan Weil

Stephan Weil, born on December fifteenth, nineteen fifty-eight, is a prominent German politician, judge, and lawyer. He has made significant contributions to the political landscape of Lower Saxony, where he serves as the leader of the Social Democratic Party (SPD).

In January twenty thirteen, Weil led the SPD and the Green party to a narrow victory in the Lower Saxony state election, securing their position by a single seat. This success paved the way for his election as Minister President of Lower Saxony on February nineteenth, twenty thirteen, with the support of both the SPD and Alliance '90/The Greens.

Weil's political influence extended beyond state politics when he served as President of the Bundesrat from November first, twenty thirteen, to October thirty-first, twenty fourteen. In this role, he also acted as the ex officio deputy to the President of Germany, further solidifying his stature in German politics.

In November twenty seventeen, he was re-elected as Minister President, this time with the backing of both the SPD and the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), demonstrating his continued relevance and leadership in the region.
