Stéphane Guivarc'h, born on September sixth, nineteen seventy, is a distinguished former professional footballer from France, renowned for his role as a striker. His career is highlighted by his participation in the French national team that triumphed in the 1998 FIFA World Cup held on home soil, a defining moment in his sporting journey.

Guivarc'h began his football career in Brittany, playing for local clubs Stade Brestois and En Avant Guingamp. His talent soon led him to AJ Auxerre, where he celebrated victory in Division 1 in nineteen ninety-six. He later returned to his roots with Stade Rennais, where he earned the prestigious Ligue 1 Golden Boot, showcasing his scoring prowess.

In a remarkable second stint at Auxerre, Guivarc'h not only retained the Golden Boot in Division 1 but also claimed the accolade for the 1997–98 UEFA Cup. His exceptional performance culminated in his starting role during the World Cup Final that summer, solidifying his status as a key player in French football history.

After the World Cup, Guivarc'h made a move to Newcastle United in the Premier League, but his time there was short-lived as he struggled to make an impact. He concluded that season with Rangers in the Scottish Premier League, where he earned medals in both the league and the Scottish League Cup, scoring in the final. He eventually returned to Auxerre before retiring after the 2001–02 season with En Avant Guingamp.
